Five.id palm readers let your members check in with a wave of their hand, with no phone, card or fob needed. Members pair their palm once, then check in at the reader before class. This guide connects CodexFit to your Five.id readers.
Follow along
This step-by-step guide shows each click. The written steps below explain what each setting does.
Before you start
- Arrange your readers with Five.id. Your readers and your Five.id account come from Five.id. Have them ready, because you'll send Five.id a key from CodexFit in Step 2.
- Check your permissions. Your admin account needs the Manage configuration permission. If you can't see Integrations in Business Settings, ask the owner of your account to add it for you.
Step 1: Add the integration
- Go to your CodexFit admin (
your-club-name.codexfit.com/admin). - Click Business Settings, then Integrations.
- Click Add integration.
- Find Five.id and click the plus icon. You'll land on the Five.id settings page.
Step 2: Create your API key
The API key is how Five.id's readers prove they belong to your studio.
- Next to API key, click Generate key.
- Click Copy key and send it to Five.id so they can link it to your readers.
Keep it private: only share this key with Five.id. If it ever gets shared by mistake, click Regenerate to create a new one, then send the new key to Five.id.
Step 3: Choose your settings
- Issuer: enter your studio's name. It's sent with each pairing QR code so the reader knows which studio the member belongs to.
- Pairing code expiry (minutes): how long a pairing QR code stays valid. Leave it blank to use 15 minutes.
- Check-in opens (minutes before class): how early members can start checking in.
- Check-in closes (minutes after anchor): how long the reader keeps accepting check-ins. Leave it blank to use 15 minutes.
- Check-in close anchor: whether the closing time is counted from the class start or the class end. The default is start.
- Slot noun: the word used for a member's place in class, such as bike, bag or mat. Leave it blank to use "slot".
Optional: tag members and bookings
Tags let you find, segment or automate around members who use the palm readers.
- Tag customers on pairing: turn this on to tag a member when they successfully pair their palm. The default tag is "five-id". You can enter your own in Customer tag.
- Tag bookings on check-in: turn this on to tag a booking when it's checked in with Five.id. The default tag is "five-id". You can enter your own in Booking tag.
Step 4: Save and switch it on
- Click Save settings.
- Click Enable.
You can also click Test at the top of the page to check the connection.
